Dental Endoscopy

The Dental Endoscope is a state of the art tool used to aid in the deep cleaning of recurrent pocket areas. It is ideal for those patients with limited periodontal disease and is less invasive than surgery.

It allows the hygienist to:

• Visualize root surface, tooth structure and other areas
• Locate and remove residual/missed areas of calculus
• Allows more complete healing to take place
• Diagnose other subgingival problems

The Dental Endoscope works by allowing the hygienist to place a microscopic camera into the pocket area. The image is transferred to a television screen. The hygienist then knows exactly where the plaque and calculus is located and is able to thoroughly clean the area.
